The terms that apply when you use LitElekt. Draft; pending external counsel review before v0.9.
Last updated: 2026-04-18
This page is a v0.8 MVP draft and does not constitute legal advice. A reviewed version will ship at v0.9 after external counsel sign-off.
1. Service + scope
LitElekt is an AI-powered research decision and process assistant that helps you move from an idea to a research protocol draft.
The service is provided by MedEd Experts LLC (Wyoming, USA). By creating an account and using the service, you accept these terms.
2. Account + billing
During the v0.8 beta the service is free; paid plans launch with v0.9.
You can cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the start of the next billing cycle.
The academic discount requires verification via a `.edu`, `.ac.*`, or `.edu.tr` domain.
3. Acceptable use
You must not use the service to generate unlawful content, infringe others' rights, or abuse the infrastructure.
Reverse engineering, quota-circumventing automation, and shared accounts are prohibited.
AI outputs are not a substitute for a researcher's review. Every suggestion is gated by an explicit confirm step.
4. Your content + IP
The content you create (research questions, protocols, exports) is yours.
You grant us a royalty-free, worldwide licence to process your content for the sole purpose of providing the service, valid while your account is active.
Your content is never used for model training; ZDR is enforced at the AI gateway.
5. Limitation of liability
The service is provided 'as is' and 'as available'. LitElekt does not guarantee the scientific validity or publication acceptance of your research.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LitElekt is not liable for indirect, special, or consequential damages.
Aggregate liability is capped at the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
6. Governing law + disputes
The governing law and forum for these terms will be finalised during v0.9 external counsel review.
Consumer protections under your local law are not affected by these terms.
